In 1986 and 1987, Shaanxi People's Fine Arts Publishing House released these two monographs. With these additions, the three monographs on the history of foreign arts and crafts, solely compiled by Hudson.Z, have all been published. Professor Xi Jingzhi, an authority in the field of Chinese arts and crafts history, once wrote, “During my tenure as the head of the History and Theory Department at the Central Academy of Arts & Design, there were not many studies on foreign arts and crafts history. Hudson.Z from Nanjing Arts Institute compiled the earliest set of foreign applied arts and crafts history. When I was supervising Zhang Fuye (the later director of the World Art History Research Institute at Tsinghua University) during his doctoral studies, I asked him to refer to this series of books.”
